Net Metering is available to member-generators who own, operate and maintain electrical generating facilities using solar energy designed to operate in parallel with the existing Inter-County Energy electrical distribution system and be primarily intended to offset part or all of the member-generator’s own electrical requirements.
If you install a solar-electric generating system or wind generation, hydro, biomass or biogas at your home or office with a capacity of 45 kilowatts or less, you may qualify for Kentucky's Net Metering Program. For more information go to Kentucky Solar. Net-Metering Q&A The Kentucky PSC has approved a change to the Net Metering Tariff's capacity requirement. That new requirement has increased from 30 to 45 kW.
