Despite hearing from more than 100,000 electric cooperative advocates, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) finalized in April a rule that would shut down reliable power plants across the country.
Over the next five years, 19 states are at risk of rolling blackouts during normal peak conditions. American families and businesses cannot afford higher energy bills and rolling blackouts. The EPA’s rule would cut off reliable power generation at a time when we need it most.
